A Luxury MotorCar must be more than just visibly appealing on the outside, which is why many factors other than visible wear come to mind when choosing you pre-owned car. Since cars do not come with history reports attached to them, investigation can provide answers to most questions.

What I have found to be one of the most important questions asked by clients prior to purchase is "has the car ever been in an accident ?" With confidence and proof I can answer this question. Here is how:

The Elcometer...

However, what is important to me and my clients is the history of the car they are buying. The undisputable way to find out if a car has been in an accident and/or painted is through an Elometer paint reading. The Elcometer has been available and in existence for many years and is simplistic tool that measures paint thickness on any body panel, hood, trunk, or hatchback on any vehicle made from metal. If the Elcometer reading is not consistent throughout the car, the car has been painted. If the car has been repaired and body filler (Bondo) has been applied, the Elcometer registers -- indicating a repair. If a body panel has been replaced, the Elcometer reading will not read factory specification.

All of the cars offered to Luxury MotorCars' clients are Elcometer Certified. I divulge Elcometer readings and notify my clients if the car has been re-painted, in an accident, or is original. Many times I pass on buying cars with Elcometer readings that paint a picture of prior damage and abuse. However, sometimes a hood has been repainted because of rock chips which is not something I would consider a worry. Nonetheless, if my client knows ahead of time, the power to say don't buy is always in the hands of my clients.

The truth of the matter is, as most dealers, brokers, and buyers don't possess an Elcometer for this simple reason: What the people don't know won't hurt them. If their eyes can't see it, neither will you. The salesman selling your car surely won't know either.

An annalistic attitude, a detailers eye, and the extra protection of an Elcometer are some of the ways Luxury MotorCars chooses it's cars. Buy with confidence, all Luxury MotorCars clients know the full story of their cars before they buy. Do You?
